Most Difficult Treasure Hunt

At Paihia School our amazing principal set up a fun/ difficult treasure hunt. To enter the treasure hunt you had to bring two dollars. I thought that it was really fun even though I did not find any prizes but the main point of it is to have fun and raise money for the charity I am hope. Do you like doing treasure hunts? 

Time To Make Rockets Boom

In Te Ngahere we have started to create bottle rockets for our wonder project. I like making rockets because in the end your group get to make them go as high as they can. I thought that my group helped a lot with making the rocket I think that they did a great job. I thought that I did a great job to because I did the cutting. I had to cut the top of the coke bottle off to make the bottom of the rocket. Our next step is to put the fins on and then test the rocket. I really enjoy making bottle rockets. This is my rocket here so far.

Interesting Wonder Project

In Te Ngahere some people named Troy and Gestarvo came in so that we could learn about how rockets work. we have been learning about the Wonder Project. The Wonder Project is a rocket project, we were learning to build our own miniature rockets. For the first week we had to pick two career roles and write what we need to know to get the job. The two career roles I choose were designer and an engineer. Have you done the Wonder Project before?

Interesting Mosaic Art

In Te Ngahere we have been doing mosaic arts. For mosaic art you have to make a picture using shapes and you have to leave gaps in between the shapes. You also have to pick a picture of something. When I tried to do a mosaic art I didn’t understand how to do it and I thought that a mosaic art was a vertex art so I did a vertex art piece of Ronaldo. I did my art on a chromebook because it is easier to do it on a chromebook than using pencil and paper. Next time I need to do the art we are supposed to do. Have you done a Mosaic art before? Amazing Fitness Activities

In Te Ngahere we are doing fitness and P.E to practise for cross country. For fitness we have to do sit ups, crab walk, planking, push ups and high knees. We also play games like Capture the Flag. I really enjoy doing fitness and playing games because I get more energetic. Fitness was not as fun as doing four way Capture the Flag because we had to do a lot of push ups and sit ups. Doing fitness helps me get better at my sports. Four way Capture the Flag is like playing normal Capture the Flag so how you play is you have to teams and the you have to try grab the other teams ball/flag  without them taking your ball/ flag and you have to take it to your side of the half.  Four way capture the flag is the same. Have you ever played four way capture the flag?

Interesting Basic Fact, Spelling and Division

In Te Ngahere we have been doing basic facts, division and spelling. In the past few weeks I have learnt my basic facts and division now I need to do 13 more spelling words and i’m done spelling. It is easier to do division when you know all of your basic facts. I thought that I did really good on my basic facts. I also thought that my buddy Rymon did really well because he is a good teacher for me. Do you know all of your spelling, division and basic facts ?

Interesting Assembly

At Paihia School on Friday we had an assembly. At our assembly we showed our pou pou art and did two Tik Toks. Our assembly was really funny because of the tik toks. I thought that I did not do that well while I was doing the Tik Tok dance because I was not looking at the audience I was looking at the floor. Here is a video of us doing the Tik Tok dances.
