Interesting T-Ball With Whaea Casey

At Paihia School in Te Ngahere Whaea Casey came in. Whaea Casey taught us how to play T-Ball which is really fun. T-Ball is a really interesting game because you have two teams one team is the batting team and the other team is the fielding team. The batting team only has one bat at a time, and when they hit the ball off of the T they have to run to a base before the fielding team hit the base with the ball. The fielding team has to throw the ball and get it back to one of the bases to stop the batters from getting a home run. A home run is when the batter runs to all bases with out getting out and once they get to the last base they get a home run. The team with the most home runs wins. After all of the people in the batting team has a bat they then swap over and the fielding team becomes the batting team. Have you ever played T-Ball before?

Fun Amazing Mahi Toi

In Te Ngahere we have been doing Mahi Toi, mahi Toi is maori for art. I really enjoy doing Mahi Toi because you get to draw, blend and shade colors. I think that I am doing really well because I did good shading and blending. I also think that I need to practise drawing continuous lines. Continuous line are lines that you carry on drawing instead of drawing little lines one after another. Have you done art like this before?

Amazing Interesting Cricket Day

In Te Ngahere at Paihia School a man named Neil came in. He taught us how to play cricket and how to hit the ball perfectly. We also played a game of speedball it was really fun. I think that Neil did a really good job to help us improve on the game. The skill that we learnt was how to hit the ball with the bat. I think that I did really well because I did hit the ball really far and high. I also think that I need to improve on my catching skill because I wasn’t that good at catching. When you pick up the bat you have to make to v’s with your hands and pick up the bat. When you catch the ball you have to make a basket looking thing with your hand to catch the ball.Have you ever played cricket before?

My Interesting Holiday Walk

In the past few weeks me and my family went on a two hour walk to a cabin in the middle of the bush. The walk was really hard because we had to carry so many things we also had to walk up and down steep hills and narrow paths. We also had to walk thought rivers. The walk was really really long it was two hours there and two hours back. We stayed at a cabin for one night and left early in the morning. Would you go on a four hour walk?
