Stunning Science

Kia ora. At Paihia School our class Te Ngahere went to Bay College for a science roadshow. I learnt that there are different types of gases around the world and that if you pour liquid nitrogen onto a balloon the balloon will shrink because the liquid nitrogen is so cold the gas in the balloon dissolves and then when you blow on it the liquid nitrogen vanishes and the gas makes its way back into the balloon. There were also different types of science projects my favorite one was when you have to try and make any object in a basket float mid way up a tube while the tube was pushing the wind up. I managed to make a object stop I used a shuttlecock with a light piece of string. The purpose of this experiment was to see if it mattered by the shape of the object or the weight of the object.
