Interesting Pounamu Pendants Math

In Te Ngahere a group of students have been learning about percentages. We had to count all of the squares that create the background and divide it by 135 we then had to multiply it by 100 to get the percentages. Here is an example: if there were 67 full squares you will divide that by 135 witch is 0.49… then you times it by 100 to get the percentage and the percentage is 49 percent.
