How to Make a Snowflake

Snowflake

Equipment:
  1. One piece of A4 paper
  2. Scicers

Steps:
  1. Fold the A4 paper in half
  2. Fold the right corner down diagonally towards the bottom left corner
  3. Fold the top left corner towards the bottom right to make a triangle
  4. Cut off the bottom edge in the shape of an ark
  5. Fold the half from left to right
  6. Cut out shape from all sides
  7. Unfold
  8. Then have fun with it

Conclusion:
The easy bit was when you have to cut out the shapes. The other easy part was when you had to fold it in half. The hard part was when you have to fold the left corner down to the right corner and the right corner down over the left corner.

Quality Blog Post

W.A.L.T add Quality blog post sto all our post

There's NO "I" in TEAM

W.A.L.T.  include others in our games. We are learning that we need to work together as a team, share skills and strategies so we can win fairly and everyone can participate. In life we need to make great relationships with others in teams, individually and in classes.
W.A.L.T. create a video using puppets to tell the story about a great relationship we learnt about

  • Team Doesn't have an “I”  in it.
  • Include others
  • When there is some one that is left out go to them and ask them if they want to play with us
  • Do not leave others out.

Fractions Wall

W.A.L.T. to make a fractions wall. First we had to cut twelve pieces of paper the same length.  First we glued one whole strip, then we folded another strip in 1/2 before cutting it in half and gluing it on our wall. We repeated this process in 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/8, 1/9, 1/10, 1/12ths. We saw patterns when we cut 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, and 1/12. We saw another pattern when we cut 1/3, 1/6 and  1/9.  We saw another pattern with 1/5 and 1/10.

Amazing Alliteration with Voice

Today we had the opportunity to add our voices to our slide show using screen castify. It will be a handy skill to be able to use in the future. We will be able to create a wide variety of amazing creations to share especially with younger students who cannot read yet.

Cross Country - Green Screen

Alliteration Critters

W.A.L.T. write an alliteration describing a relationship between two creatures. We used a shared Google Doc to write our alliteration. In a shared Google Slide we had to add a background then inserted png images of the critters.
